"This Army List contains much more than contemporary army officers down to the rank of lieutenant with the dates of their promotions. The militia, the yeomanry cavalry, the Indian Civil Service, medical and veterinary officers and even retired officers on pay or pension are also listed. A section on the mobilisation of the army in the UK records where each corps was stationed. This information would also be useful for those trying to locate an event, like a baptism or burial, in a non-commissioned officer's family."

This CD contains the Army List for the quarter ending 31st December 1909 (published January 1910) and includes Gradation Lists for all Officers, lists for Warrant Officers, and Officers of Departments, Colonial Forces and Indian Volunteers. Also included are lists of the War Services of Officers of the Army and Colonial Forces.
